Rate Reduction List

Since we purchase at the highest exchange rate in the industry, we strictly appraise current banknotes. The rate reduction basically applies to current banknotes, but for older banknotes, we do allow for some small stains and deterioration due to the passage of time, so not all banknotes will have a rate reduction, but if the degree of deterioration is significant, the rate will be reduced.

Old banknotes are often in the condition of items ⑥ and above. We have divided them into categories ① through ⑫, so please check each before sending. We may refuse to accept minor currencies in categories ⑧ through ⑫

Please note that the final decision on the extent of the damage is made by our store.

①PencilToday's Rate×99%)

If you thoroughly remove any mechanical pencil or pencil marks yourself, they will not affect your rating.

②ScribbleToday's Rate×97%)

This refers to banknotes that have small, oily graffiti (such as numbers) on them.

③ScribbleToday's Rate×97%)

Oil-based scribble on portraits may not be accepted, so please contact us for details.

④Scribble OilyToday's Rate×95%~97%)

This corresponds to medium-weight oil-based scribbles (such as number calculations and sums).

⑤StampToday's Rate×97%)

This is common with US dollars, but there are often stamps on the back. If there is one or more stamps, the rate will go down.

⑥WrinklesToday's Rate×70%)

This is especially true for old banknotes and bills. When receiving your change, ask to exchange these bills.

⑦HoleToday's Rate×70%)

Banknotes with minor holes, such as staple marks, are often rejected by dealers, resulting in a significant drop in the exchange rate. For high-value banknotes in countries like Singapore and Brunei, even a tiny staple hole can cause a drop in the exchange rate.

⑧TearToday's Rate×50%)

It's strange why these bills continue to be in circulation, but this is a common feature of old notes and banknotes. In most cases, they are not traded between dealers, so the rate drops significantly.

⑨Large TearToday's Rate×10%)

If the banknotes are severely torn for some reason, it is unlikely that even local banks will exchange them.

⑩Large ScribbleToday's Rate×10%)

If the banknotes are severely torn for some reason, it is unlikely that even local banks will exchange them.

⑪Large StainToday's Rate×10%)

Not available for purchase in some countries.
